The mean platelet volume and pregnancy-associated plasma protein Ain determining risk of early intrauterine growth retardation

Rezumat: Intrauterine growth restriction is a pathological process that occurs in the womb and prevents the fetus to reach his weight genetically programmed. This article aims at analyzing the relationship between mean platelet volume and pregnancy associated plasma protein A in early detection of risk of intrauterine growth restriction, in order to determine the potential prophylactic interventions which can be made in patients considered to be part of a high risk group for fetal and perinatal bad outcome.
