I. Savu, V.V. Horhoianu, S. Vladareanu, M. Cirstoiu

Rezumat: Intrauterine growth restriction is a condition that affect the fetuses who are not capable of achieving their own growth potential parameters, which are genetically determined. A series of factors that can determine or favor the onset of this clinical entity are already well known. Among this, there is a growing interest of the practitioners upon the thrombophilic factors. The aim of this review is to analyse the relation between maternal thrombophilic modifications and intrauterine growth restriction, in order to establish the potential prophilactic interventions which can be made in patients considered to be part of a high risk group for fetal and perinatal bad outcome.
Cuvinte cheie: thrombophilia, pregnancy, placenta, factor V Leiden, prothrombine.
