Rezumat: The Postpartum Depression (PPD) is a mental disorder common in mothers and their partners in the first months after birth. Early recognition of signs and symptoms of this condition by medical staff in obstetrics and gynecology or a family doctor as well as determining the appropriate therapy triggers a favorable prognosis of this disease in the mother and an optimal development of the newborn.
