A.L. Duță, M.I. Maftei-Antoneag, C.A.M. Medeleanu, C. Voicu, V.G. Clătici

Rezumat: Genital HPV is one of the most common sexually transmitted infection (STI) worldwide. In men’s case, the infection could be clinically innapparent. Diagnosing and treating men’s HPV as soon as possible, would limit the risk of transmission in women while improving their health status. In men, the subclinical HPV infection is 10 times more frequent then the symptomatic one, therefore the diagnosis often requires special procedures and techniques. Worldwide impact of the disease is huge, financial impact and the from the patient’s quality of life point of view.
Cuvinte cheie: HPV, sexually transmitted infections, HPV diagnosis in men, HPV infection diagnosis.
