Current opinions on PlGF and sFlt-1 as reliable markers for preeclampsia

Rezumat: Preeclampsia is an increasingly frequent condition that affects pregnant women and, if undetected in a timely fashion, can be a source of morbidity and mortality for both mother and child. Both PlGF and Flt-1 have been involved in the mechanisms behind this pathology, and are currently being used both as diagnostic markers and possible therapeutic targets.
