Hepatitis B and pregnancy

Rezumat: The continuous interest in the issue of chronic viral hepatitis during pregnancy is triggered by the increased incidence throughout time in the number of pregnant women as well as the sufficient progress in managing this disease, which presents major complications during pregnancy. The perinatal transmission of HBV from the infected mother to the child is one of the main routes for transmitting the type B hepatitis given that the chronicity risk of the infection at newborns is highly acute.
