S. Vlădăreanu, A. Boiangiu, C. Mehedințu, C. Berceanu, S. Popescu

Rezumat: Large scale using of assisted human reproductive techniques has increased the number of twins and multiple pregnancies. Associated to these phenomena the vanishing twin syndrome has also increased as occurrence. The studies that have been published about this subject have demonstrated a correlation between the vanishing twin syndrome and an increased perinatal risk. Chorionicity and the gestational age at which this phenomena happens act like additional perinatal risk factors. The most common obstetrical management is conservative.
Cuvinte cheie: vanishing, papiraceus, in utero fetal death, perinatal.
