Rezumat: Breastfeeding is the natural means to give the newborns
the nutrients they need for a healthy growth. Almost all
mothers are able to breastfeed, if they have access to
correct information and are supported by their families,
social system and by the society in general. Many of the
undergone surveys have unfortunately proved that this
support is not quite reliable in Romania. Nevertheless this
situation can be improved by each of us with any act of
