Multidisciplinary treatment of the patient with bladder extrophy

Rezumat: Bladder extrophy is a congenital malformation of the uro-genital system, pelvic structures and abdominal muscles. Surgical treatment of bladder extrophy has improved considerably in the recent years, disease management involving multiple reconstructive procedures for the complex spectrum of existing conditions. The management of patients with bladder extrophy requires a multidisciplinary approach and is a challenge for specialists in: Infantile Surgery, Pediatric Gynecology, Urology and Pediatric Orthopedics.
