Evaluation of risk factors associated gestational diabetes

Rezumat: We analyzed the prevalence of gestational diabetes (DG) in a population of pregnant women (109 women aged 24 to 28 pregnancy weeks) and risk factors for DG, influence, such as obesity and weight gain. Were performed: oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) using criteria IADPSG (International Association of Diabetes and Pregnancy Study Groups) for gestational diabetes, glycated hemoglobin, insulinemia, total cholesterol, HDL-col., LDL-col. , triglycerides, 2D ultrasound examination and risk factors were recorded. DG prevalence of 11.9% was comparable with results of other studies and was diagnosed mostly in the age group ≥30 years. DG doubly group was significantly higher compared with non-diabetic pregnant DG group (p <0.01).
